Wash of the Week: Sunrise Sunset

In mornings, the sun cuts a gagged line slicing between day and night.  At least that was what I was attempting to capture. The results are more like a landscape, but a sunrise, more or less.

Here in the midwest, artists are intrinsically connected to the land. It seems to creep into our creative subconscious one way or another.

It’s turning autumn here as it in most parts of the northern hemisphere. This week we’ve experienced a perfect “cow jumped over the moon” moon. It’s a buttery curve in the night sky — you can almost make out its grin.

Even as we change, the times change and the seasons change, these is a constant we can rely on. There always will be a sunrise, a sunset and on some nights, a moon shadow.
